For the purposes of UK data protection law, Portulacaria Limited is the data controller for any personal information you share with us through this website.

What we collect

There are two ways we collect information through this website.

‍When you get in touch with us. Our contact form asks for:

• Your name
• Your company
• Your email address
• Any message or details you choose to include

When you browse the site. We use Webflow's built-in analytics to understand how visitors use our site. It's cookieless and privacy-friendly – it doesn't track you across other websites, and we only see aggregated information such as:

• Pages visited and how long visitors spend on them
• The site or link that brought visitors here
• General information about devices and browsers (type, broad geographic area)

We don't see individual visitors or anything that personally identifies you.

We don't ask for sensitive personal data, and we don't try to collect information about you from other sources.

Why we collect it

Contact form information
We use this to respond to your enquiry and follow up on the conversation you've started with us. Under UK GDPR, our lawful basis is legitimate interest – specifically, our interest in responding to people who get in touch and discussing potential work, partnerships, or investment opportunities.

If our conversation develops into a working relationship (customer, partner, investor, or supplier), we may continue using your contact details to manage that relationship under the same basis, or under contract if we enter into one.

Analytics information
We use this to understand how people find and use our site, and to improve it. Because the analytics are cookieless and only show us aggregated, non-identifying information, our lawful basis is legitimate interest rather than consent. The privacy impact is minimal – we don't track you across the web or build a profile of you.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with third parties for marketing.

We do use trusted service providers to run our business:

• Webflow Inc. (United States) hosts our website, runs our contact form, and provides our site analytics. When you fill in our contact form, your submission is delivered to us by email and also stored in our Webflow dashboard, where we can view past enquiries.
• We may also use standard email and document-storage providers to manage our correspondence with you.

These providers process information on our behalf under contracts that require them to keep it secure and use it only for the services they provide to us.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we're in active conversation with you, or for as long as we have a working relationship.

If we haven't been in touch for two years and there's no ongoing relationship, we'll delete your contact record – including any stored form submissions in our Webflow dashboard.

Where your information is stored

Webflow is based in the United States, so information you send us through this site is transferred to and stored in the US.

Where information leaves the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place – such as the UK Data Privacy Framework, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or Standard Contractual Clauses – so your information continues to be protected to UK standards.

Cookies

This site uses only the cookies that are strictly necessary to make it work – for example, a small number of technical cookies set by Webflow to deliver the site. We don't use analytics cookies, marketing cookies, or advertising cookies.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct anything that's inaccurate
• Delete your information (subject to any legal obligations we have to keep it)

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please get in touch with us before going to the ICO.
